為什麼要背「句型」而不是單字

技術單字工程師通常都認得——deployment、latency、rollback 天天在看。真正在會議 上卡住的，往往是句子的開頭：想插話、想表達不同意見、想確認自己有沒有聽懂， 腦袋裡有中文，卻不知道第一個字該說什麼。先把幾組開頭背熟，後面接技術名詞就順了。

同步進度（Stand-up）

• Yesterday I worked on the payment retry logic, and today I'm going to add tests for it.
• I'm blocked on the staging database access — could someone help me with that?
• It's taking longer than expected because the legacy API doesn't return error codes.
• I should be able to wrap this up by end of day tomorrow.

確認自己有聽懂

• Just to make sure I understand, you're saying we should cache this on the client side?
• Could you elaborate on what you mean by "eventually consistent" here?
• Sorry, I didn't catch that. Could you say that again?
• So the takeaway is we'll ship behind a feature flag first, right?

客氣地表達不同意見

直接說 "I disagree" 在英文裡其實沒有那麼失禮，但搭配緩衝句會更自然：

• I see your point, but I'm a bit concerned about the extra load on the database.
• Have we considered using a queue instead?
• I might be missing something, but wouldn't this break the existing clients?
• What if we split this into two smaller PRs?

收尾與分派工作

• Let's take this offline. （這個會後再私下討論）
• I'll follow up on the monitoring alerts and circle back by Friday.
• Who's going to own the migration script?
• Let's sync again after the load test results come in.

練習方法

1. 每次開會前挑 兩句 準備好，會議中刻意用出來。
2. 會後把自己卡住的那句中文記下來，查好英文說法補進這份筆記。
3. 錄下自己的 stand-up 更新，隔天重聽一次，找出最不自然的地方改掉。
